Balchem Corporation, New Hampton USA, acquired the methylamines, choline chloride and choline derivatives manufacturing and sales activities of Akzo Nobel Chemicals in May 2007. This included the manufacturing facility at Marano Ticino near Milan in Italy which produces the full range of methylamine products required by the commercial markets, as well as providing the in-house feed stocks to produce downstream products such as choline chloride. Alliance Chemicals has a long and continuous history with Balchem Italia’s methylamine products dating back to the early 1990’s covering co-operation in Australia and the United Kingdom & Ireland. Today Alliance Chemicals represents Balchem Italia’s methylamine, choline chloride and choline base products businesses as their Agents and Distributors in the United Kingdom & Ireland.
