Applications:
EDA is a strongly basic amine with an ammonia-like odour. The most prominent derivative of ethylenediamine is EDTA, a chelating agent. It is used in the prodution of the bleaching activator tetraacetylethylenediamine (TEAD), in electroplating baths, in the production of polyurethane fibres, and polyols and rubber chemicals.
